Obama states that the health care costs associated with being overweight are about $174 BILLION dollars per year. If you are overweight please begin getting some form of physical activity even if it's just walking around your own home with some weights on.  But ALWAYS consult your health care professional before beginning any physical activity lifestyle.

And with physical activity start "changing" they type of calories you consume. That is, if you eat 500 calories of cookies or cakes or chips, replace those bad calories with fruits, veggies, "hot sauce sandwiches" (I am not kidding I really eat these because they kill my cravings), and plenty of water.

November 10, 2009:

Wall Street Journal today had yet another article about the dire consequences from the obesity epidemic suffocating America's health care system. With the Obama health care plan those who are obese and need care relating to their obesity, such as knee and hip replacements, may get "End OF Life" counseling instead of treatemt. Why? Because obesity is a preventable condition -- solvable by a lifestyle of physical activities and better eating habits and choices. 

No, I am not kidding. 

September 24, 2009:

A very rotund young lady at work comes up to me and says "You're supposed to be the fitness guru around here. What would you do to help me get in shape because I want to join the Navy and need to lose weight?"
 
I gave her a pat on the back and applauded her goals. I then told her to get rid of the potato chips she was eating and all of the junk from the snack machines, as well. She replied that "That's gonna' be tough. I love this stuff."

My reply "If you are serious about joining the Navy and getting in better shape, then stop eating high fat foods and foods with  high fructose corn syrup. At your age you'll need to develop a lifetime lifestyle that welcomes physical activities at lest 5 days a week, whether it's walking, working around the house, doiong the Aerobic House Cleaning, hiking, biking, whatever."

She replied "Oh man I don'tknow. That sounds hard."

The conversation ended with me saying "Then you really don't want to join the Navy because you don't have the maturity to make good choices and delay gratification (delaying gratification comes from the book: 'The Road Less Traveled') You're lying to yourself my Dear. For the very most part we all do what we want to do and everything else is excuses."

September 17, 2009:

Aerobic House Cleaning is one of the few proven and very simple solutions to America's Overweight & Obesity epidemics.
After countless discussions with dear friends who struggle with weight, and from what I could learn from my research including Centers for Disease Control,  the conclusions are evident: Many of the overweight and obese don't want to pay for a gym nor exercise equipment; and they, like so many of us, have too little time to spend going to and from a gym; and they are secret eaters who find it difficult to stop eating even after they are full.

August 10th, 2009:  Chatting with my Sister Susie, an ER nurse, we become more convinced that the culprits leading to Amerca's overweight and obesity plague is due to a variety of ills:

1. Bad foods which contain corn sweeteners and high fructose corn syrups. Evidence shows that corn sweeteners and HFCS are chemicals which keep people hungry and thus are constantly shoving food in thier mouths.

2. Lack of a lifestyle that contains physical activites

3. Parents who are poor role models because they are overweight themselves AND! do nothing about it.

4. Obama's health care plan WARNING: For those who are overweight, you may find yourselves in a dire problem were you to need surgery related to your weight problems. That is you may need a knee replacement but because of limited medical resources, you may be forced to lose weight before the operation can take place.

Or, if you have diabetes or a heart condition attributable to your being overweight, you may be required to lose weight or pay astronomical prices for your medication UNTIL you lose that weight. The time to get healthier is NOW.

5. For the overweight to get in better physical condition, they MUST make very simple, and very good choices every day for the rest of thier lives. AHC shows you how to make these small choices.
